We're thrilled to annouce that this year's epic afterparty venue is none other than world famous sporting venue Twickenham Stadium - the home of English rugby.
In this iconic venue - exclusively ours for the evening - we'll be on the side of the pitch with a delicious BBQ and drinks. Normally home to 80,000 spectators, there's plenty of room for relaxing, celebrating the walk and catching up with colleagues you haven't seen in ages.
It's going to be one to remember!
About the charity
World Child Cancer:
Our partnership with the charity began in 2018, and in its first year they were chosen as our Walk the World charity. Our donations ensure that they can improve diagnosis, treatment and support for even more children with cancer, and their families, in nine programmes in Africa, Asia and Central America, giving them the gift of growing up.
We have partnered with Mind since early 2017, when the business decided to support a charity dedicated to one of the nation’s biggest health epidemics: mental health. Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Mind have been a charity partner for Walk the World for several years now, and we have also run fundraising initiatives for them such as bake sales and World Cup parties.
The Passage is a charity operating in Westminster that seeks to end homelessness. Westminster has the largest influx of people in the country who are in need of support, shelter, medical care and career advice. The Passage runs London’s largest voluntary sector resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people: each day they help up to 200 men and women transform their own lives. We have partnered with The Passage since April 2016. In that time colleagues have helped the charity through fundraising, in kind giving and by using their skills to help the charity progress.
London Air Ambulance:
London’s Air Ambulance is the charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients.
Using a helicopter from 08:00 to sunset, and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather situations, London’s Air Ambulance brings the hospital to the patient when time is critical. We perform innovative and potentially life-saving procedures usually found in the emergency department on-scene. The team, consisting of an advanced trauma doctor, paramedic and consultant on most missions, can perform treatments such as open heart surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic by the roadside.
By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, we aim to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
We serve the 10 million people that live work and travel within the M25, treating an average of five patients every day. The most common incidents we attend include road traffic collisions, stabbings and shootings, falls from height and incidents on the rail network.
