Walk description

For hundreds of years New Yorkers and visitors alike have stepped away from the concrete jungle to find that, in the heart of it all, are 843 acres of nature. Central Park is estimated to receive 37 million visitors annually and on May 9th, a few hundred Informa employees will add to that list! There is no better way to chime in the Spring and Summer months by rediscovering the beautiful Park Loop which will take us up and around the inner circumference. The walk, officially commencing at Grand Army Plaza around 11:30, will then take us up the East side of the park past the Central Park Zoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We'll pass the Onassis Reservoir as we continue walking North until we reach the top of the park. We'll peak at the only hill on our walk as we cut back around 110th street. Heading back down the West side of the park walkers will be greeted by Strawberry Fields and finally Umpire Rock before reentering the city at Columbus Circle.

For those that want to continue the walk can keep heading down 8th Ave to the Sky Room on W 40th Street. Alternatively, participants can opt to take the AC Subway at Columbus Circle, and get off at the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

This Truly will be the best of every part of the city. From the nature that we’ve been lucky enough to preserve and ending high up on a rooftop taking the views of all the beautiful architecture we’ve come to see every day.
