The Care for Rare Foundation is a Munich-based organization that seeks to find cures for pediatric rare diseases through five approaches: 

1.Creating a global network of physician researchers who study rare diseases and treatments

2. Provide doctors with training in rare disease disgnosis and treatment

3. Provide patients with monetary aid to enable access to genomic medicine

4. An award program for young clinicians to raise the profile of rare disease research

5. Raise public awareness of rare diseases for better understanding and appreciation of patients
