We know you loved last year's Walk the World London after party venue, but you asked for something a bit closer to public transport and central London.
We think we found you somewhere pretty special this year and it's right on the Jubilee Line.
We'll let you know the location soon!
About the charity
The Passage's aim is to provide homeless people with support to transform their own lives, sharing Informa's purpose of connecting people with networks and knowledge to help them achieve more.
Based just around the corner from our Howick Place Head Office, they've been our partner for more than 5 years, regularly helping run WTW London as well as hosting colleagues on the team and individual volunteer days.
Their incredible work helps hundreds of people every week find safe places to stay, access help and support and gets people into permanent homes.
World Child Cancer:
Our partnership with the charity began in 2018, and in its first year, they were chosen as our Walk the World charity. Our donations ensure that they can improve diagnosis, treatment and support for even more children with cancer, and their families, in nine programmes in Africa, Asia and Central America, giving them the gift of growing up.
We have partnered with Mind since early 2017, when the business decided to support a charity dedicated to one of the nation’s biggest health epidemics: mental health. Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Mind have been a charity partner for Walk the World for several years now, and we have also run fundraising initiatives for them such as bake sales and World Cup parties.
London Air Ambulance:
London’s Air Ambulance is a charity that delivers an advanced trauma team to London’s most seriously injured patients.
Using a helicopter from 08:00 to sunset, and rapid response cars at night or in adverse weather situations, London’s Air Ambulance brings the hospital to the patient when time is critical. We perform innovative and potentially life-saving procedures usually found in the emergency department on-scene. The team, consisting of an advanced trauma doctor, paramedic and consultant on most missions, can perform treatments such as open heart surgery, blood transfusions and general anaesthetic by the roadside.
By providing intervention as quickly as possible after injury, we aim to give patients the best chance of survival, and best quality of life, after trauma.
We serve the 10 million people that live work and travel within the M25, treating an average of five patients every day. The most common incidents we attend include road traffic collisions, stabbings and shootings, falls from height and incidents on the rail network.
