The 2.6 mile route is the easiest route we could conjure starting at the Community House. Know that the first 1.25 miles of this is a gradual climb and likely the most difficult part of the walk.
- From Community House go east on Morning Glory Drive toward Chautauqua Auditorium where the road will begin to turn to the right.
- As you enter the turn you’ll see a picnic shelter on your left. The trailhead for Enchanted Mesa Trail can be found behind the shelter.
- You will remain on Enchanted Mesa Trail for approximately 1.25 miles before you meet an intersection.
- Turn right onto Mesa Trail and hike approximately .5 miles.
- The next intersection will be with Bluebell Road where you will turn left. There are restrooms here.
- In about 450 feet you’ll turn right onto Bluebell Spur Trail.
- After hiking for about .5 miles the trail will meet with Chautauqua Trail and you’ll turn right.
- Head down the hill for about .3 miles and you’ll end up at the Chautauqua trailhead.
- Make your way through the parking lot to Kinnikinnick Road and walk up the hill to Morning Glory Dr.
- Take a left, walk a wee bit more and your back at the Community House.

The 3.2 mile route is nearly identical to the 2.6 mile route but with the addition of the Woods Quarry Trail. This addition is a little steeper and narrower. On one side of the loop you’ll encounter steep stairs.
- From Community House go east on Morning Glory Drive toward Chautauqua Auditorium where the road will begin to turn to the right.

- You will remain on Enchanted Mesa Trail for approximately 1.25 miles before you meet an intersection with Mesa Trail.
- You’ll see Woods Quarry Trail spur a little of this intersection up the hill.
- It’s about .3 miles to Woods Quarry.
- On your return there is a staircase you can take down the hill that will meet up with Mesa Trail. Take a left and in about .1 mile you’ll end up back at the intersection of Enchanted Mesa and Mesa Trail.
- Continue on Mesa Trail and hike approximately .5 miles.
- The next intersection will be with Bluebell Road where you will turn left. There are restrooms here.

Considering the terrain and location, plotting a longer route overlapped with a lot of difficult trails which would likely put participants on the trails for quite a bit longer. That being said if you have your mind set on a certain mileage such as 10k please pair up and make sure someone such as a manager knows. That way we can anticipate a later return. I’d expect a 2-3 hour hike. If there is interest in this, one suggested route would follow similarly to the routes above but…
