How to Take Part
Join Informa colleagues and Walk the World!
Everyone can take part in Walk the World. Just follow these easy steps:
Find a walk in your area
Check out the Walks section to see if there’s a walk organised in your area. More are being planned by local office teams but, if you’d like to organise a walk locally or help out, get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Homeworker? Everyone can take part Walk the World. Register for any office walk or organise your own walk (but make you register first). Why not meet up with other homeworkers nearby? Visit the Homeworkers Hub for more details.
Clients and business partners are encouraged to join in the fun. Just get them to register first. They can pick up their t-shirt on the day of the walk. Not able to walk far? There’s lots of ways to get involved with Walk the World beyond walking, such as volunteering on the day and fundraising for charity. Just speak to your walk organiser to see what options are available.
Register, and order a free Walk the World t-shirt (to cut down on waste, consider using last year’s t-shirt if you still have it)
Find a local walk on the Walks page and follow the registration link. This helps to keep track of how far everyone is walking as we try to collectively walk the length of the Earth’s Equator
Everyone who takes part in Walk the World should make a registration donation to their local charity. Information about each walk and how to donate to the charity partner can be found on the individual Walks page.
Your registration and donation means you’re all signed-up for Walk the World. But it doesn’t stop there. We want to raise as much money as we can for our Walk the World charities.
Donate or fundraise at least £100/US$150 (or local amount communicated) and take an extra day off work before the end of the year!
Informa will also be making bonus donations to those offices and colleagues that participate and fundraise the most. Find out how to raise more money for your charity on the
Walk the World!
Whether you’re going for a gentle stroll or walking a marathon, you’ll be making a huge difference to some very worthwhile causes and having fun with colleagues along the way.
We’ll be tracking how far Informa colleagues walk in total during Walk the World 2018 as we collectively try to walk the length of the Earth’s Equator.
Please take lots of photos and videos, or give a written account after your walk. Post stories and pictures on the WTW Portal Community or on Instagram using #informaWTW2018. Videos can be sent to email@example.com. You might even win a cash prize for your chosen charity!
