We celebrate the legacy and milestones of our Singapore heritage by taking our walk through the historic landmarks of our past and the iconic elements of our present-day cityscape. We start with the National Gallery Singapore, which occupies the former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings (since 1929 and 1939 respectively), past the Arts House at Old Parliament (since 1827) and on to the Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall. Completed in 1862, Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall is the oldest performing art facility in Singapore. Moving along, we will pass by the Asian Civilisations Museum, another historic building since 1867, and continue down to the Esplanade Park, which was the social gathering place since the 19th century.
Crossing over to the modern era, we will reach Esplanade, Theatres by The Bay and walking along, we will sight the Youth Olympic Park. Within view shortly, is the Helix Bridge, which was designed with a spiraling steel structure to resemble DNA and it symbolizes life and continuity. Walking on, we will reach the famed Gardens by The Bay. Winding down, we will relax amidst this award-winning Gardens with light refreshments.
