Colleagues at 5 Howick Place are uniting to raise money for a local homeless charity, The Passage. The charity engages in street outreach work and also runs a resource centre and hostel, helping hundreds of local people to be rehoused and find work.
Homelessness has risen at an appalling rate, by 16% since
last year alone (the number of rough sleepers has doubled since 2010)
Behind these statistics are thousands of desperate people, sleeping in
doorways, bin shelters, stations and parks – anywhere they can find to stay safe and escape the elements. Sadly these people are more vulnerable to abuse.
As colleagues at 5HP, we are faced with the issue on a daily
basis as the presence of homelessness is an inescapable part of life at London Victoria. The good news is, we can do something about it.
With Informa’s position in the knowledge economy in mind, we can share knowledge and expertise by helping develop the charity’s mentoring programme and by sharing skills directly with clients.

Colleagues across KNect365 in London will be raising money for local mental health charity Mind. Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Our colleagues are the heart of our organisation, and looking after their wellbeing is of upmost importance. Every year, 1 in 6 British workers are affected by conditions like anxiety, depression and stress, making Mental ill-health the leading cause of sickness absence in the UK. By working with Mind, we can help tackle this problem.
Walk the World is the perfect platform to launch this partnership, as we know that there is a strong link between physical activity and wellbeing. Following the fundraising focus, we hope that creating an ongoing partnership will have a positive impact across our offices, creating opportunities for volunteer days, learning more about mental health and using our skills to support the work they do.
For 25 years, the World Cancer Research Fund has translated their ground-breaking research into easy-to-understand information for the general public, ensuring that people can change the way they live to reduce their risk of cancer. Donations fund research into the causes of cancer, identifying people at high risk and ensuring healthcare workers are kept informed of the latest cancer prevention research.
BI has supported the charity for a number of years and as a result have established a strong partnership.
