A walk of 10 km, starting from the charming, historical village, Warmond, taking us through an area of polders and lakes, known in Dutch as the Kagerplassen. The region is famous for its varied landscape; it has large stretches of water with peat meadows, or polders, in between. The Kaag lakes are natural lakes, edged with ragged shorelines. The walk runs over a few pieces of polder. A historical salon boat will sail us between the islands. We can enjoy the beautiful views of the water, windmills and the Dutch ‘wildlife’, such as cows and birds.
