We will meet at the car parks at the Northern end of the park, past the playground.
We will head north along the coastal track from the car park to Piripiri Point, and back again. Along the way you can walk through several areas of coastal bush and access two beaches. There are several high points along the track which provide some stunning panoramic views of the Hauraki Gulf.
We intend to provide you with light refreshments at the conclusion of the walk, but this will be weather dependant.
KidsCan is helping Kiwi kids living in hardship reach their full potential and create brighter futures for themselves.
Hungry, wet, cold and stressed is no way to start the school day (if it doesn’t stop them from getting to school) but for over 290,000 Kiwi children living in hardship that is the reality. This can impact their educational growth and lead to a lifelong pattern of underachievement. There is a way to break this cycle; by providing simple things like food, shoes, socks and raincoats, kids can arrive at school ready and able to learn. Our aim is to prevent children in hardship from becoming adults in hardship by giving them the start in life they deserve.
