Everyone can take part in Walk the World. You don’t need to be a fitness freak or give up lots of spare time. Just follow these easy steps:
Every Informa office is encouraged to organise a walk as part of Walk the World. Nearly 50 offices have already signed-up!
Check out at the Global Walks section to see if there’s a walk organised in your area. If not, why not organise one? It is up to you how far you walk, but the walk must take place by 30 June. Just let us know at email@example.com, so we can include details on this website and let your colleagues know in case they want to join you. We can also give you some handy tips on organising a successful walk.
In some locations with multiple Informa offices, such as London, New York and Singapore, group walks are being organised that colleagues from any local office can join.
Homeworker? No problem, you can register your intentions and distance on the registration form and simply take yourself for a walk. Why not meet up with other homeworkers nearby or arrange a trip to coincide with an office walk?
Once you have chosen a walk, it’s time to register for Walk the World.
It is important that you register via the website, so we can keep track of who is walking and how far everyone is walking in total. It also means we can send you the correct sized t-shirt!
We are asking everyone who takes part in Walk the World to make a registration donation to their local charity. Information about each walk and how to donate to your walk’s charity can be found on the Global Walks page.
Your registration and donation means you’re all signed-up for Walk the World. But it doesn’t stop there. Wewant to raise as much money as we can for our Walk the World charities.
Donate or fundraise £150/US$250 (or local equivalent) and get an extra day off work!
Informa will also be making bonus donations to those Divisions and colleagues that participate and fundraise the most. Find out how to win more money for your charity on the Fundraising page.
Whether you’re going for a gentle stroll or walking a marathon, you’ll be making a huge difference to some very worthwhile causes and having fun with colleagues along the way.
We’ll be tracking how far Informa colleagues walk in total during Walk the World 2017.
